THE MICHAEL COLLINS TRIANGLE
|
Visitors to West Cork often
 find it difficult to find sites associated
with Michael Collins, signposting is poor, or non existent (souvenir
hunters keep taking the signs) and when the sites are found there is
very little information there.
Many visitors find it useful to visit the Michael Collins Centre
first, where they discover how to find the Collins locations and also
learn the history of the various sites, so they can enjoy their visits
even more.
In West Cork the important
Michael Collins sites are Woodfield/Sam’s Cross where Collins was born
and grew up, Beal Na mBlath where the fatal ambush took place and The
Michael Collins center. Together we call them the Michael Collins
Triangle and all three locations are featured on the Map above.
